It’s the remote control car that can climb walls! Takara Tomy is going to start shipping in Japan this month. When I saw some of the images, I noticed that on the actual remote there was an “Air Hogs” logo which looked identical to the one from the Canadian based company. In fact, if you take a look at the two video ads, they both have a similar shot of the RC car driving on the bottom side of a table. The Air Hogs “Zero Gravity Micro” was released in the US back in August, so what’s the deal? It turns out that the Takara Tomy Aerospider is simply a rebranding of the Air Hogs RC car. The RC car uses a vacuum generated by fans to allow it to drive on walls and ceilings. The Aerospider will sell for $45. The Air Hogs one is only selling for $29 at ToysRUs, although they are currently out of stock.
